I have monitored Ryan`s results closely over the past month, and have taken the decision to promote him to Level 2 of the Poker Experiment. His bankroll and his overall knowledge of poker both warrant this decision. At Level 2 Ryan will now be expected to play $10 to $20 tournaments.
Ryan has steadily increased his bankroll since the beginning of the Experiment, and now that it is in the necessary range between $250 - $500 he is ready to advance. At Level 2 I want him to focus primarily on sit and go tournaments (to build his bankroll to the next stage), with a secondary focus on multi-table tournaments (these punish your bankroll as a rule at lower levels but are very good in terms of gaining experience.)
I want Ryan to become an accomplished tournament poker player, which means he will need to learn certain poker management skills that can only be gleaned from Multi-table events. But I also want Ryan`s bankroll to expand, which means lots and lots of sit and go`s against soft competition.
