Got invited to a local cash game (yeah I finally
found one!). I played real tight as I had no idea of the experience levels.
I could sense that a couple of guys were pretty strong so i stayed out of
their way. I kept tight throughout and ended up heads up with about
half the stack of the leader. I decided its time to get aggressive and it
worked. i slowly chipped away at the chip lead. He used the excuse of
splitting the pot "so the others won`t just have to sit around". Fair
enough, I wasn`t going to argue (they invited me, after all).
Notable Hands
I actually didn`t get good cards the whole time
but played well with what I had. I won a big pot with a pair of 8`s with a
whole lot of face cards on the table. Thought my reads were very good in
that hand.

There is no substitute for live-game experience, if only because it reveals weaknesses in your game that are not immediately apparent when you play exclusively online. To come out and split the cash from this event is a very good sign for Ryan, especially based on the fact that he had to fight back with fewer chips when he began to play heads-up. Sounds like the other guy was intimidated! Good work...
