Student Comments
This was the biggest tournament I have played to date. Marc qualified for this, a satellite to the Sun Poker Half Million, by winning a Sit & Go. He couldn`t play in this game so handed it to me. I was a tad nervous but  I didn`t see anything that scared me early on. Only problem was that in the hour that I managed to stay in the game I got a pocket pair once, Q`s, and crap the whole way. As a result I was playing catch up all the way. I managed to double up with the Q`s to restore my position to some sort of respectability, but with the blinds going up and a short stack I had to make a move. I eventually went all in with A8 off suit and was called with A7. The flop came with a 7 and I was out.

This tournament gave me exposure at this level and I feel that once I improve somewhat on my board texture knowledge I will be quite competitive.

Coach Comments
Multi-table satellite tournaments are notoriously difficult because most of the players treat them as "freerolls" and play loose and easy. That being said, if you cannot get decent cards in a big field event like this it is almost impossible to advance. I think Ryan has the ability to show a profit at the $50 buy-in level for tournaments, but that`s for single table sit `n go`s. The multi-table satellites are crapshoots, and this was more for the experience than anything else...promising stuff though!
