Student Comments
It`s great to give my bankroll a boost with this $100 win. I have been reading "Harrington on Hold`em" and have found the example hands in his book of great value with some specific hands during this tournament. Harrington`s style suits mine. I also took on board Marc`s comments regarding what to do if you don`t get good cards. I played some average hands well when I was in position, which allowed me to double up when the blinds were still small. From there I played very tight, except for a few steals (the table was quite weak and I only tried to steal if the two players who appeared to be strong were not in the hand). Eventually I got some good cards and knocked them both out in succession.
Notable Hands
Raised in late position with A8 and A6 when there hadn`t been a raise. Knocked the strong players out with those hands in both cases. I flopped 338 with the first and he held an A. I check raised him and he went all in. On the second I flopped A6, and took a big pot with him holding AK. I actually thought he held AK and was right.

Coach Comments
What I like about this most, besides the fact that Ryan smoked `em and won a nice size SNG, is that he has started to recognize what other players might be holding against him. That`s a real sign of improvement, as he continues to evolve into a good poker player. Your instincts are not always correct, obviously, but you must attempt to "ghost" other players` hands, whether you are in the pot or not. As soon as you can do this you have an incredible advantage over run-of-the-mill players. Well done!
