Started the week with a blast

1. On Monday I won a $30 buy in tournament which I dominated from the outset.

2. Tuesday I came second in a another $30 game. At 4 handed, I got a really bad beat with a maniac calling down a straight. That knocked me down to under 200 chips and I quickly slid down to under 1000. I hung on for second though.

3. On Wednesday I decided to have a go at Pokerstars. I`m still trying to figure out why. I don`t like to look of the table, you can`t see who is in the hands and the tables are filled with stark raving mad lunatics who talk trash all the time.  I didn`t like the look of it right from the word go and should never even have deposited money.

4. I played me regular $20 cash game with re buys on Thursday night. I have never had such a bad run of cards (why do I have hunch that this is not the last time I`ll be saying this?). I stole a couple of big pots and won a nice pot with a set of 6`s. However I tried to loosen up and raised with marginal hands. Also limped in too much.

5. Played a $30 buy in Sit & Go today and cruised to the chip lead. Even though I distinctly remember telling myself out loud that I`m going to sit out, limping in with crap got me in trouble. I flopped a straight and put in a pot size bet. Got called. Figured the guy to be on a set, but the turn didn`t look like it helped him and I bet the pot again. He called again! The river produced a scary card which I figured could have given him a higher straight. I checked and he bet. I knew I was beat when I called. My new rule: No limping when I am in a strong position later on in a tournament. Next hand I got KJ in the big blind and went all in when I paired a J. I was knocked out by two pair on the River. Stupid, stupid, stupid poker.
