  1. April 30 - $10 Sit & Go, 27 players, 4th in the bubble. How does someone raise with 86 off and go all in when they are re-raised with QQ? Beats me but there are people who do these things. They flop sets with those hands too.
  2. May 3 - - $50 Sit & Go, 18 Players - 13th. Not too bad, but I was trying to be way too aggressive. Went all in with TT when I did not need to, even though I was short stacked.
  3. May 5 - $50 Sit& Go, 8th. I`d rather not talk about it.
  4. May 5 - $50 Sit& Go, 8th. I still don`t want to talk about it.

I know that I should not have played poker this week and this was a lesson. Just wasn`t able to focus and paid an expensive price for persisting and playing.

Coach Comments
There is one obvious point here, which is not to play poker when you feel that you are distracted or approaching the game with a negative attitude. You must sit down expecting to win and wanting to play - it sounds so simple, but the reality is that a lot of players sit down debating whether or not they really want to play poker right at that moment, and they also don`t feel like they`re going to win.

I also wanted to make a point that isn`t as obvious. At the start of this week Ryan played very well in a tournament, was on the bubble, and suffered a bad beat inflicted upon him by a moron who made a moronic play. Now this happens but that doesn`t mean it doesn`t have an impact. And, I think it was responsible for his downward spiral for the rest of the week. That one bad beat upset him without even fully realizing it, and set in motion a week of self-detsructive losing poker.

This is what happens to all of us who play a lot of poker, but the key is to acknowledge it and never let it happen again. The next time you have a bad session you MUST stop playing immediately, and you need to take a break from poker. Only start playing again when you feel that old love for the game, and no longer have any anger in your system regarding the prior loss. Trust me on that one.
