Student Comments
  1. May 6 -  $20 Sit & Go, 10 Players -2nd. Dropped back a level to get some confidence back.
  2. May 7 - $50 Sit& Go, 4th. Played very well but unfortunately ran into a lunatic with a love for A5 off.
  3. May 9 - $50 Sit& Go, 4th. Again played very well and got to final four with pretty much equal stacks. I called an all in with AQ and his low pair won the race. In retrospect I did not need to do that.
  4. May 11 - Played in the equivalent of a $110 buy in multi-table tournament held on a swanky boat (very expensive drinks, but the waitresses were in underwear which made up for it). I went pretty well and was still in good shape with about 80 out of 250 players left. Got Aces in the hole on the button with one limper before me. I raised to 4 times the blind. SB folded and BB went all in with about 2/3 of my stack. I called and he showed K7 suited. The flop came Kx7. I sit here writing this dressed in my "Aces Hate Me" T-shirt. How appropriate. I managed to recover a bit but ran into someone who was let out of his strait-jacket for a night (he really looked the part). It was a good experience though. I have lots to learn!
  5. May 12 0 $30 Sit & Go - 10 Players. 4th.

Coach Comments
When you`re feeling down about your poker it`s quite amazing how many times you crash out on the bubble. It doesn`t seem fair and in many instances it is not your fault. Momentum has a habit of running hard regardless of direction, and when you need a break it is impossible to ctach one. I like the Student`s attitude here, however, and that`s the main thing. You really need to remind yourself that poker is all about long-term results, and make sure you don`t put up your entire bankroll while you`re waiting for the bad streak to end.
