2007 WSOP Main Event Down to the Wire
|
July 18 - As these words are being written, only 3 players remain out of 6358 in
the 2007 World Series of Poker Main Event, the richest and most prestigious
poker tournament in the world, taking place at the luxurious Rio Casino and
Resort in Las Vegas.
Not only are the players competing for the kudos of winning the biggest Texas
Hold'em tournament in poker, but also a coveted WSOP gold bracelet that
relatively few poker players have the honor to wear, as well as the not too
shabby $8.2 million first prize.
The remaining players comprise an American, a South African and a Canadian, who
are Jerry Yang (67 300 000 chips), Raymond Rahme (36 100 000 chips), and Tuan
Lam (24 075 000 chips) respectively, each of whom has already become a WSOP
millionaire with their standings.
However, its the big prize that each is after and while Yang seems in charge of
the final table currently, a couple of bad hands can change all of that and
shift the lead as well as the excitement of the crown who are waiting to see who
will become the 2007 WSOP champion.
With all the excitement generated by the World Series of Poker, it's no wonder
that online poker is fast becoming one of the most popular pastimes on the
Internet today. Visit
PokerStars.com today and enjoy some of its lucrative bonus
offerings.
