March 24 - 888 Holdings reported this week that its 2009 fiscal
revenue earnings dropped considerably.
Most significant was the group's poor performance in the poker field, showing
a slump of 28% to $51.6 million.
The group's casino division also didn't do particularly well, showing a drop
of 11% to $119 million.
The only side of 888's business that managed to turn a profit was its B2B
unit, Dragonfish, which saw sales climb to $51.3 million - a rise of a third.
Nevertheless, 888 Poker is streaking ahead with great promotions which it
hopes will improve profits as the world pulls out of its current recession.
The site is currently giving away an amazing 88 World Series of Poker 2010
packages - 41 $15,000 Main Event Packages and 47 $5,000 Event #54 Packages.
Players can choose from no less than eight different ways to win one of these
packages.
These include raking the most hands, earning the most status points,
referring as many friends as possible, using YouTube, Facebook and Twitter,
earning the most casino and poker status points, knocking out poker celebs or
coming first in one of the tourneys, racing to play the most tourneys with the
biggest buy ins and - for ladies only - the chance to earn the most status
points.
Players who win one of these great packages will see themselves enjoying five
star accommodation, entry into the event, cash to spend, an invitation to the
exclusive 888 Poker Party and even 888 Poker merchandise.
