May 30 - Recognizing the importance of players having the right tools to link
up with their favorite buddies at an online poker site, Absolute Poker
has upgraded its software to incorporate its new Absolute Buddy.
The Absolute Buddy does a quick search for the players' opponents and links
them to one another in a flash.
By registering with Absolute Poker room, players can add their favorite
opponents to their list of buddies and check out where they are playing on the
site whenever they want to have a game of poker with them. Working along the
same lines as social networking sites such as Google Chat or Messenger, the
Absolute Buddy automatically puts in bold font any player on the poker player's
list who is currently logged into the site. Those who are displayed in gray are
not presently online.
To indicate whether a certain player is at a poker table or not, the Absolute
Buddy will place a small triangle next to that player's name with the ability to
even check the table's name. By double clicking the table name, the player is
automatically transferred to the table. Absolute Poker has thought out
everything with this new software feature!
The Absolute Buddy can also be used to sort contacts for blackjack, and is
available in the Absolute Poker lobby. The service is absolutely free and is
available to any registered Absolute Poker customer. The name of any player in
the card room can be added to the player's buddy list, although players have the
option of blocking specific players from seeing them enter the site. Players can
even keep notes about their opponents through a unique player's note feature.
The Senior Vice President for Absolute Poker, David Clainer said about the
new Absolute Buddy: "We're taking our online poker community to an entire new
level by making it easier for players to connect with one another."
