October 9 - Controversial founder and CEO of leading online gambling concern,
Bodog.com, has issued a statement reassuring current Bodog.com players that it
will continue to 'be business as usual' at the Bodog websites.
The statement comes after the US Congress passed the 'anti-online gambling bill'
last week.
The bill was designed to prevent American online gamblers from playing at online
casinos, online poker rooms, online sports betting sites and pretty much all
other online gambling destinations, through making it illegal for US banks to
conduct online gambling-related transactions.
Ayre went on to say that
Bodog.com would continue to provide lucrative, safe and
top quality online gambling action to its players as well as deal with any
changes the online gambling industry make encounter due to the US bill.
Said Ayre, 'It'll most probably take a few months before the full repercussions
of the new law are felt. However, we want our players to know that Bodog.com is
well-prepared to handle any online gambling eventualities in a legal sense.
'We see the future as very positive for
Bodog.com,' concluded Ayre.
