Everest Online Poker Offers WSOP Incentive
|
April 14 - Everest Poker issued a statement yesterday, showing why it is worth online poker players' while to qualify for the World Series of Poker main event through their site.
Everest Poker said that it would be adding an incentive bonus to main event qualifiers to have their winnings matched up to $1 million and then have that total distributed evenly among all qualifiers, whether they managed to cash in the event or not.
Everest Poker will serve as the main sponsor for the prestigious World Series of Poker event that will kick off next month in Las Vegas, its second consecutive year in this role.
The spokesperson for Everest Poker, Ed Pownall, said in a press statement: "Our aim last year, our first as sponsor, was to encourage more European players than ever before to go to the WSOP, which we did. This year, we want to reward that loyalty by offering a knock out reason to qualify for us. This bonus gives everybody hope of winning something even if they are out early on and it will give us an added sense of camaraderie to all those qualified with us."
If this bonus incentive had been applied last year, according to calculations, all main event qualifiers, whether they cashed or not, would have been able to add an extra R20,000 to their bankrolls!
It should be noted that Everest Poker is not offering this incentive to those who qualify for the $1,500 buy in No Limit Hold 'em event during the WSOP.
Main Event prize packages at Everest Poker are worth over $13,000 and include $1000 spending money, a unique invitation to attend a VIP party and entry into Everest Poker Lounge at the hotel in Las Vegas.
