Great Dane Wins Paradise Poker Tourney
|
May 21 - Last week, Danish poker player, Jacob Pedersen, won the
Paradise Poker Slaget om Norden III poker tournament to walk away with the title and $147 000
in prize money.
Slaget om Norden, which translates to 'Battle of the Nordic Countries', is a
popular poker tournament hosted by leading online poker room, Paradise Poker,
that is only open to poker players from Finland, Iceland, Sweden, Norway and
Denmark.
The Paradise Poker Slaget om Norden III poker live event was held at the
luxurious and scenic Paradise Island in the Bahamas. Before long the action was
down to an exciting heads up match between Jacob Pederson and Thomas Pedersen
(no relation).
Thomas started the session with a small chip lead but after a few hands, Jacob
had leveled the playing field. Eventually, however, it all came down to the
final hand where Jacob held KK and Thomas A8. A K on the flop sealed the deal
for Jacob.
Said Jacob Pedersen after his victory, 'I did not expect to win the Paradise
Poker Slaget om Norden III. In fact, I was just glad to have made it to the
final table in the Bahamas. I am absolutely thrilled!'
