Mercier Becomes Poker Stars Pro

poker stars prosJuly 4 - Jason 'treysfull21' Mercier, the 22 year old poker wunderkind, has capped his impressive poker career with an invitation to join the elite Team PokerStars Pro.

PokerStars, the leading online poker site in the world, recognized the incredible talents of Mercier and have welcomed him as a valued addition to their professional team. Team PokerStars Pro represents the site at top tournaments around the world and is considered a force to be reckoned with in itself.

"Becoming a Team PokerStars Pro means a lot to me," said Mercier. "I'm so excited to be playing for the site I first started playing on. I feel like this solidifies my standing as one of the top poker players around."

Mercier first started playing poker at the age of 15 and took up online poker when he was studying to become a math teacher at college.

However, it was soon clear that his calling was professional poker and he started entering - and winning tournaments - both online and off.

Mercier's first major win was in season four of the PokerStars EPT San Remo, where he won the title and an incredible $1,372,893. His career snowballed from there and he went on to win sixth place in the fifth season of the PokerStars EPT, and then winning the EPT London 1 Million GBP Showdown High Roller tournament.

Mercier is also showing off his talents this year at the World Series of Poker tournament currently being played out in Las Vegas. He has cashed four times so far and shows no sign of letting up. His first WSOP bracelet in the $1,500 Pot Limit Omaha Event was won only last month.
