August 21 - Microsoft has announced that it will release Texas Hold'em Poker for
its Xbox this Wednesday (August 23, 2006) and for a limited time allow players
to download and enjoy the poker game for free.
At precisely 8am (GMT), Xbox Live Gold and Silver members will be able to
download and play Texas Hold'em 'Xbox style' for free for two days (48 hours)
after the game's release.
Thereafter, Microsoft will make its Xbox Texas Hold'em game available for 800
Microsoft Points.
According to a Microsoft Xbox spokesperson, fans of poker will be able to test
their betting and bluffing skills in a selection of ring games and tournaments,
as well as customize games to mimic actual poker scenarios so that they can hone
their skills.
The Xbox Texas Hold'em games are for in play money.
