New Yorker Gambles Away Roomies Winnings
|
July 12 - You've heard of neighbors from hell right, well how about a roommate from
hell who gambles away $5700 of your hard-won money?
Police in Hudson Valley in New York state have charged 20-year-old Trenton Riley with gambling away almost six thousand dollars of his roommate's
money at an online poker room under his roomies poker account.
Riley is being charged with felony grand larceny, which can be punishable with
a hefty fine and or prison time.
According to reports, Riley, who hails from Hyde Park, New York, used his
roommate's computer to log onto an online poker room using his roommate's
username and password, and proceeded to gamble away $5700 in under three hours.
Apparently racked with guilt, Riley confessed what he had done to his roommate,
who prefers to remain anonymous, and then turned himself over to the police on
Monday this week.
He was charged and later released on bail, and will appear in court at a later
date to face the charges.
The moral of the story is keep your passwords and usernames to your favorite
online poker rooms private and away from prying eyes!
Oh, and stay away from dumbass, thieving roommates.
