Online Poker Landscape Set To Change As PartyGaming Makes A Big Move
|
You heard it here first a couple of weeks ago - PartyGaming, operators of the world's biggest online poker room, are set to change the online poker landscape for good by buying out their former partners and current "rivals". The moves began in earnest yesterday when PartyGaming purchased Multipoker, as well as a majority stake in Intertops Poker, both former online poker skins for PartyPoker.
The third former skin, Coral Eurobet Poker, is migrating to a new online poker network, and will no longer get to play with PartyPoker. That leaves only Empire Online, badly outflanked so far, and ripe for the plucking. This is the real prize for PartyGaming, and one feels that the end result of their various dealings, which have weakened Empire Online's stock and their online poker room Empire Poker, is to swoop in and buy them out.
