Online Poker Show to Premier Next Month
|
July 29 - Mainstream exposure to online poker will be boosted next month when the new poker show, 2 Months, $2 Million debuts on the G4 network.
Set to launch on August 16th, the show follows the attempts of four very talented young poker players as they try to achieve their aim - of earning $2 million playing online poker over the summer from a 10,000 square mansion in Las Vegas.
The four players are already well known pros in the business: Brian 'Flawless_Victory' Roberts, Dani 'Ansky' Stern, Jay 'pr1nnyraid' Rosenkrantz and Emil 'whitelime' Patel.
All four players made the money in the World Series of Poker 2008 $10,000 Head up Championship, and Stern just missed out on a gold bracelet at this year's tournament.
The poker show will follow the successes and losses of the young 22-24 year olds as they use a converted theater in the mansion as their war room to add up their winnings online throughout the summer.
The theater consists of 50 inch plasma monitors where the players can enjoy maximum conditions to make their cool $2 million.
The mansion also boasts a Tilt Room that serves as a place of retreat to cool off and refresh when things aren't going so hot online.
Viewers will be treated to ten half hour shows, where other scenes will feature one player each week at the mercy of the other three having to perform forfeits for making the least amount of money.
