PKR Poker Reaches New Milestone
|
August 21 - Not many online poker rooms can boast to having three million registered players, and those that can have been many years in the industry, building up a reputation, offering players quality poker over time and increasing their database from year to year.
So the announcement that PKR Poker has registered its 3 million player is doubly impressive, considering that the site has only been around for three years.
PKR launched its 3D site on August 17th, 2006 and from the beginning, it was clear that players would be seeing something different than the cookie cutter sites that were flooding the industry at the time.
PKR Poker brought with it innovative software, a three dimensional poker environment that turned the virtual world of online entertainment into something decidedly realistic, and amazing jackpots and prizes.
The avatars at the PKR Poker took the industry by storm, displaying body language, reactions and expressions that were as real as they come.
It came as no surprise that merely a month after PKR's first anniversary, it announced it's one millionth player to register at the site.
However, industry analysts believed that this incredible growth spurt would level out at some point and PKR would get back on the scale with the other quality sites out there.
Three years down the track, and this poker room is still going as strong as ever. A poker room that averages one million new members a year is certainly something to be proud of, and nobody will be surprised if the poker site announces yet another million next year.
