PKR.com Introduces Social Networking to Poker
|
 June 25 - What happens when poker meets social networking? PKR.com! They've just released a whole new type of poker onto the internet. Like Facebook and other social networking tools, PKR.com's MyPKR allows players to have friends, personal profiles, newsfeeds, and other great features, including messaging. PKR.com players will be able to enter a whole different type of poker experience.
Players will be able to update their status regularly to let their friends know how they're doing. They'll be able to read up on events that they find relevant, find out their friends' statuses, see what their friends are up to and if they've won tournaments, and more. Each player has a fully customizable profile with privacy options to meet each player's needs.
PKR.com has even more to offer, though. They seek to create a full poker community, complete with a branded online television station and a digital magazine. The new tools will help players customize exactly the kind of poker community that they want to play in. Players will have access to incredible amounts of poker information instantly.
The website will offer a wide range of articles on poker published by Dennis Publishing, publisher of Inside Poker. The articles contain a range of information on poker strategies for tournaments, ring games, sit-n-go tournaments, and anything else a player might need to know about poker play.
The new site will turn PKR.com from a 3D game site to a whole community. Players will be able to make friends, learn about poker, and experience the full range of options that a social networking site offers.
