July 2 - In a second wave of approvals, the French Gaming regulator, ARJEL, awarded Party Gaming licenses to operate online poker and sports betting sites in the country.
The new sites will cater to French citizens, with online players being offered top Party Gaming entertainment through www.partypoker.fr.
The new brands and sites will be available as early as this month when changes in France's gambling legislation kick in.
Party Gaming is in an excellent position to deal with the new reforms in the French market.
It signed three exclusive B2B deals to enter the French market.
These include a deal with French poker giant, PMU in order to form a poker network with the TV broadcaster AB Goupe and the card room and private member club group, Aviation Club de France.
The network will help Party Gaming pool player liquidity provided by Party Poker France.
All in all, Party Gaming received licenses to launch five French facing networks, including for its Party Bets and Gamebookers sporting brands.
Other poker rooms to receive their poker licenses include top clients such as Poker Stars, Partouche Poker and Chili Poker.
The new poker brands will essentially be able to accept money from French citizens under new laws in the country.
Their businesses will be fully regulated and taxed.
In the first wave of license approvals at the beginning of June, groups such as Betclic, Bwin and Everest Gaming all received licenses.
