Poker Pro Becomes Maxim Model
|
 You know that poker has hit the mainstream in when one of world's leading female
poker players is asked to pose for the cover of a prestigious men's magazine
insert, the lovely lady being none other than Clonie Gowen.
Poker pro Gowen and member of Team Full Tilt, will grace the cover of an insert
going into the July issue of Maxim, right before the 2006 World Series of Poker
(WSOP) kicks off in Las Vegas.
The insert, which features a comprehensive 'Guide to the World Series of Poker',
boasts a sexy two-page spread of Gowen who is known throughout the poker
fraternity for her poker skills and good looks.

Also known for her charity work, Gowen challenged Paris Hilton to a $100 000
charity poker tournament this week during a broadcast of Fox Sports Network's
'Best Damn Sports Show Period'.
Said Gowen, 'Paris seems to be a great girl, however, she represents everything
that I am not. However, but now that she has stepped into my world , the world
of poker, I challenge her to put her poker skills to work for charity as
$100 grand will go a long way to helping those in need. Paris, are you in?'
Gowen asked.
The poker challenge winner will donate the generous $100 000 prize to the
charity of their choice.
