Poker Tournament Results From The Five Diamond Poker Classic
|
The biggest poker tournament at the moment is taking place at the Bellagio, which is holding the Five Diamond Poker Classic. There are daily events attracting star-studded fields of the best pro poker players in the world. The highlight will be a no-limit hold'em tournament that forms part of the World Poker Tour.
The first four events are in the books, and a glance at the results suggests yet again that the top poker players are consistently able to cash despite the element of luck and good fortune in any poker tournament.
Event number 1 was won by Lars Bonding, whom many of you will remember from the ESPN coverage of the World Series Of Poker. He finished second in a televised event, narrowly missing out on a bracelet. Secind this time around was Tony Ma, another professional player. Top 20 finishers included: Barry Greenstein and David Tran.
Event number 2 was won by newcomer (at least to us) Steve Diamantas. The Top 20 featured some brilliant players including: Martin DeKnijff, "Minneapolis" Jim Meehan, and Men "The Master" Nguyen.
Eevent number 3 was won by Orlando Maldonado, and big names in the Top 10 included: Scotty Nguyen, JC Tran, and Joe Sebok.
Quinn Do, a player from Seattle,WA won the 4th event. This is a name you might hear a lot more of in 2006 poker news, as Quinn's poker results this year on the tournament circuit have been very impressive. He's one to watch.
