There was yet another twist in the tale as the ongoing saga between Empire Poker and Party Poker continued with breaking news in the London newspapers. The Times reported that Empire knowingly failed to disclose that their relationship with Party Gaming was going to end BEFORE they listed (went public). All along we're maintained that Empire is run by a slimy bunch of rogues, which is why we don't do business with them on any level - would you?
The City is agog with news that Empire Online knew their relationship as a skin of Party Poker was coming to an end before they produced their prospectus for potential investors, yet somehow this fact, which accounts for their entire business model, failed to make it into the final draft of said prospectus. Oops, clearly an oversight from a company with more collective grease oozing from them than the Turkish national oil wrestling team.
What this means to you the individual poker player should be clear. There are a number of reputable, honorable online poker rooms out there backed by operators you can trust. We guarantee your deposits at those poker rooms. Somehow it seems unlikely that we would ever want to guarantee deposits at a place such as Empire Poker.
