August 5 - For all those who have been waiting with baited breath for the
European equivalent of the exciting World Series of Poker, Bodog Poker
has just brought you one step closer to realizing your dream to attend.
This popular online poker site has announced that daily qualifiers are now
available on its site, with two lucky winners likely to walk away with a
lucrative prize valued at over $24,000 to attend the WSOP Europe.
Players can spend as little as one dollar in a Bodog Poker WSOPE qualifier
and eventually meet up at the Two Seats Guaranteed semi finals on the 7th of
next month, where two lucky winners will take home their prizes.
"We're excited to award our online qualifiers a prize package that allows
them to live it up in London like they've already struck it rich, even before
the first cards are dealt," said Calvin Ayre, acting as the Chief Executive
Officer for the Morris Mohawk Gaming Group.
The prize package will include a seat at the WSOPE championship event, return
airfare, car service, luxury hotel accommodation, Team Bodog clothing and gear,
and of course spending money.
"We had an incredible run at last year's tournament," said Ayre, "with one of
our online qualifiers, Matt McCullough, finishing third, and we're hoping to see
Bodog back at the final table again - this time taking home the bracelet."
While McCullough took home over $766,000 for his impressive third place win
last year, the final dual came down to John Tabatabai and the online wunderkind,
Annette Obrestad. It was finally Obrestand who grabbed the title at last year's
WSOPE, earning herself a cool $2 million.
This year's event will take place in London from September 27th to October
2nd.
