Bodog Poker Open II Schedule Announced
|
 September 26 - Bodog Online Poker room announced the full schedule for its upcoming Bodog Poker Open II tournament that will kick off on September 28th.
This year's event promises to be even bigger and better than last year, with no less than $650,000 in guaranteed prize money up for grabs and fourteen action-packed events.
The Main Event will begin on October 5th with a whopping $300,000 in guaranteed prize money.
Justin Bonomo, who plays on Team Bodog through his username ZeeJustin had this to say about the upcoming tournament: "Whoever said sequels are never as good as the original certainly wasn't talking about the Bodog Poker Open II. The first BPO was pretty big, but the BPO II takes it to a whole new level with more events, more money guaranteed, deeper stacks, and they're keeping it fun along the way with bounty tournaments. I welcome all players to take a shot at me during the series."
Bonomo was referring to six bounty tournaments that are part of the schedule, where players will have the chance to knock out Team Bodog members with a $109 prize bounty on their heads. For each team member knocked out, the player will win $109 worth of credits in enter a satellite that may very well win them a spot in the Main Event of the Bodog Poker Open II.
The first event of the tournament will be a No Limit Hold 'em (rebuy) with $10,000 added that begins on Sunday September 28th. On the same day, event number two will consist of a No Limit Hold 'em with $30,000 guaranteed.
Team Bodog will be available during the period of the event, and players should look out for big names such as David Williams (WSOP bracelet winner), Evelyn Ng (useless poker hottie) and Jean-Robert Bellande (Survivor: China contestant).
