May 27 - Now there is no need to travel to Las Vegas to be part of the live
World Series of Poker action. Bodog Poker, always coming up with
innovative new promotions, has launched its Mini-SOP tournament that will be
mirrored on the upcoming WSOP - all from the comfort of the player's own home.
All the events in Bodog Poker's Mini-SOP will begin on the same days as the
events in the live tournament, except for one major difference - the buy-in for
these events will only be 1% of the real buy-in prices.
The first Bodog Poker event - a $100 + $9 Pot Limit Hold 'em tournament -
will coincide with the $10,000 World Championship Pot Limit Hold 'em tournament
on May 30, with all twenty five tournaments running thereafter until July 3.
A final tournament will be hosted on July 10 and will award, as top prize,
three seats to next year's WSOP event - essentially making Bodog Poker the first
online poker room to offer seats to WSOP 2009. Each prize package, valued at
$12,000, includes the $10,000 buy-in, $2,000 for travel expenses and the Team
Bodog gear.
Players who wish to take part in all 25 Bodog Poker tournaments until July
3rd can take advantage of a 'package deal' which includes entry into all these
events for $821.00.
Players in the Mini-SOP events will stand in line to win cash prizes as well
as a position on the Leader Board. Points that are earned in each of the events
will be tracked by the site and players can earn automatic entry into the final
tournament by qualifying with these points.
Naturally, players can also buy directly into the main event for $250 + $50,
thus skipping the earlier rounds of the Bodog Poker tournament.
