Cereus Poker Network Launches New Promotion
|
December 6 - From the beginning of this month, poker players at both Ultimate Bet and Absolute Poker on the Cereus Network can join the race to earn themselves a very cool $220,000.
Players need to earn themselves points or credits at either online poker site, in order to take part in the Cereus Network points race.
This is how: Ultimate Bet awards players with RAI$E points through its Points Race promotion, while Absolute Poker awards FAME credits through its Race Cards competition. Players earn these points or credits by taking part in any real money raked ring game through the entire month of December.
At the beginning of 2009, the top 200 players with the highest points or credits on each of the sites' leaderboards will take home part of the massive $220,000 that the Cereus Network put up as a prize. The player who finishes first on the leaderboard walks away with $15,000, while the second and third placed players win $14,000 and $13,000 respectively.
The top thirty players on the leaderboard will win a minimum of $1,000 each, although that number increases depending on where they are ranked on the board.
This week, Ultimate Bet and Absolute Poker, finalized their transition to the Cereus Network, owned by Tokwiro Enterprises.
The new look poker network and very lucrative promotions are part of strategy to help the two poker sites move beyond cheating scandals that rocked the poker industry this year. The sites were the focus of a much publicized 60 Minutes investigation program on the cheating events.
