July 30 - Professional poker player Gus Hansen and representative of leading
online poker room, Full Tilt Poker, had reason to celebrate last week
when he took home $1 million after winning a lucrative Full Tilt Pot-Limit Omaha
event in Australia.
The friendly Danish player, who has carved a name for himself in professional
poker through always appearing cool, calm and collected, was down under to help
promote the Australian Poker League representing Full Tilt Poker.
While Hanson reportedly did not win many 'enormous' hands, his consistent and
calculated style of playing ensured that he maintained his stack while
constantly 'chipping' away at the stacks of his fellow players until he won the
event.
This has been a good couple of months for the Full Tilt Poker player with this
his second million dollar payday in as many months, although by his own
admission he did not fare as well as he would have liked at the recent 2007
World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.
