April 29 - During a tough final table, professional online poker player,
ionlyplayAA grabbed $132,787.50 as the first prize in Full Tilt Poker's
Guaranteed $750,000 tournament.
The marquee Sunday event drew disappointing numbers - 3626 players in total -
which resulted in a rare overlay in the tournament. Subsequently, an overlay of
$24,800 was reported.
Buy in for the event was $200 + 16.
The final table was played out against bosbosjes (seat #1, 1,660,378 chips),
Nocturnick (#2, 1,499,141 chips), aabeware (#3, 458,956 chips), UBENICE (#4,
1,677,045 chips), br56887 (#5, 1,034,047 chips), zelong (#6, 1,620,394 chips),
ionlyplayAA (#7, 1,901,521 chips), Draigan1 (#8, 463,927 chips) and PedjaMN (#9,
641, 976).
Play was tough as player after player was eliminated during the final event.
UBENICE was eliminated in third place, with $52,500 in his back pocket, before
the tournament reached heads-up play between ionlyplayAA and PedjaMN.
The last stretch of the game lasted only five minutes with PedjaMN's hand
revealing a flush draw with one over card, and ionlyplayAA showing a top pair.
PedjaMN took home $80,250 for his efforts, while ionlyplayAA won $132,797.50, as
stated.
The weekly Full Tilt Guaranteed takes place every Sunday at 18:00 ET. Players
have a chance to enter satellites to this event for as little as $2 and $0.25,
or they can buy their way into the tournament using 300 Full Tilt points. If
players continue to play at the satellites after winning a seat for the Sunday
event, and then win again, their account will automatically be credited with
$216.
