Gambling Search Engine Signs on PokerStars
|
December 17 - The leading online poker room, PokerStars has become the latest online gambling company to sign a strategic partnership deal with the new search engine, Yatinoo.com.
PokerStars will pay Yatinoo substantial referral fees in exchange for the gambling search engine carrying a PokerStars banner on its site.
PokerStars believes that the growing popularity of Yatinoo in the gambling world will spell excellent exposure to its own products. The search engine said that its traffic grew by nearly 80% over the past five months and PokerStars is keen to benefit from this increase.
Yatinoo is a relatively new site in the industry, having been launched last year. It focuses on the gambling market, although its intention is to target other key markets around the world in the long run. Yatinoo provides gambling information in three languages at present - English, Arabic and French and also offers information about the weather and world news. Visitors can also enjoy information about sports, gambling and industry personalities from around the world, with a special focus on African, Asian and Arab markets.
"Today's announcement underscores the recognition of Yatinoo.com's innovation as an online content provider," said the Chief Executive Officer of the search engine, Khaled Akid. "As part of our 2009 global growth strategy, we have identified key potential acquisition targets and alliances that we expect to position Yatinoo.com to become a leading web portal in key markets around the world. This agreement is just one step we have made in this regard and speaks to the tremendous progress we have made during a very short space of time."
