 August 22 - PKR.com, the leading
online poker
room site, is celebrating a very
impressive milestone. The award winning gaming entity burst onto the scene in
2006, at the peak of the online poker industry, and many believed that there
wasn't place for another site in an industry already so crowded.
However, PKR Poker proved its worth - and then some - and is celebrating
five fantastic years in the industry this week.
PKR changed the way players played poker, thanks to its innovative
proprietary 3D software which took the poker world by storm.
The poker room has been so successful that it has even surprised its own
managers and developers who could not have dreamed that the site would reach
such incredible heights five years ago.
So quickly has this group grown that it was recognized by the Sunday Times as
the fastest growing technology company in the United Kingdom, on the release of
the newspaper's 2010 Tech Track 100 list last year.
"It's been both a challenging and rewarding experience seeing the company go
from launch to the position we are in now," said Simon Prodger, the Marketing
Director of PKR. "I think we’ve made a great product and are lucky enough to
have gathered a fantastically loyal and passionate customer base. We never stop
looking forward at PKR, and really, this is just the beginning. There is so much
more to come."
