High Stakes Online Poker Tables Recording Massive Swings
|
Author: Marc
January 26 - The biggest cash games in the world are taking place at online poker sites like Full Tilt Poker, and on any given night in January there have been massive swings of fortune particularly at the $100/$200 Pot-Limit Omaha table.
Last night Tom Dwan began to fight back when he won $145,000 overall on the night, winning big in Omaha against other regulars like Cole South and Brian Townsend, fresh off his second suspension for violating Full Tilt's terms and conditions.
Dwan is still down nearly half a million for 2010, and has been on a cold streak in recent months that has cost him millions. His fortunes remain a lot brighter than those of the mysterious Isildur1, the anonymous Swede who was violated to the tune of $5.6 million by three pros: Townsend ($1.5 mil), South ($210k) and Brian Hastings ($3.8 mil).
When lost spotted Isildur1 was at a $10/$20 Pot-Limit Omaha table registering a loss of $25,000. Overall he is down nearly $3 million overall at the site, and one can only hope that he can afford those losses.
The biggest cash game winner at the online poker tables so far this month is the tricky Dane Gus Hansen, who has won roughly $1,250,000 for the month.
