InterPoker Looks To Send 100 Online Players To WSOP
|
June 3 - If you want to play in the 2006 World Series Of Poker, particularly the $10,000 main event, the best way to get there is via online qualifiers. Online poker rooms are putting aside millions of dollars to ensure that they send thousands of players to the WSOP - InterPoker alone will dish out $1.8 million in WSOP packages, as they look to send no fewer than 100 online players to Las Vegas this July.
Online satellite tournaments to the World Series Of Poker represent your best chance because they are cost-effective, and in many cases the odds of winning (at some sites 1 in every 16 entrants wins a seat) one of these packages are very favorable.
Last year, an InterPoker qualifier, Tom Whittles, who is a well known online poker player (username "DanDruff') won a World Series bracelet and $350,000 on top of it. But never fear, dangerous online poker stars like donator, neverwin, and mr. bigglesworth are rarely found at InterPoker. The waters are not quite shark-infested, and you have a decent shot of winning one of these qualifying packages.
InterPoker will continue to run World Series Of Poker satellites until early July, so there is still plenty of time left as well to take your shot at poker immortality.
InterPoker's WSOP packages are worth $15,000 apiece for the Main Event, and they're also awarding entries for an exclusive InterPoker freeroll tournament with $200,000 in prize money!
