October 30 - One of the most popular, and certainly the longest running poker
tournament on the European continent, the Irish Open can already be added
to poker calendars for next year.
Paddy Power Poker announced the details of the Irish Open 2010 event and
players should note that the tournament will run from April 2nd to April 5th.
For the second year running, the €100,000 Sole Survivor promotion will be
featured in the tournament.
All qualifiers to the Irish Open 2010 that originate from Paddy Power Poker
will be eligible to take part in the €100K Sole Survivor promotion.
Essentially, this promotion calls for players to aim to be the last survivor
in all other Paddy Power qualifiers at the site prior to the tournament. The
player who manages to earn the title of 'Sole Survivor' wins a package worth EUR
100,000!
30 year old Marcel Koch of Germany won the 2009 Sole Survivor promotion.
Buys ins to the Irish Open have been set at €3,200 + €300, although
qualifiers at Paddy Power cost as little 0.50.
Paddy Power Poker has scheduled a Super Satellite for the event for April
1st.
Speaking about the tournament, the Communications Manger for the online poker
site said: "Our qualifiers to this year's Irish Open were really excited about
participating in the very first €100K Sole Survivor promotion and it was
great to find such a worth winner as Marcel."
"We can't wait to kick off the search for the next Sole Survivor," continued
the manager. "There are 100,000 reasons why it makes sense for players to
qualify for the Irish Open 2010 on Paddypowerpoker.com and nowhere else!"
