JJ Prodigy Caught As An Online Poker Cheat Again
|
May 15 - Online poker sites across the board are getting stricter and stricter about the types of players at their casinos, and are showing no mercy to those who attempt to cheat by holding multiple accounts.
The recent case involving JJ Prodigy seems to hammer home that point.
Josh "JJ Prodigy" Fields has earned himself a notorious name in the online poker industry for his dishonesty and lies. The young player, albeit highly talented one, was first accused by PokerStars and PartyPoker for holding multiple accounts and banned from their sites in 2007.
The player made a highly publicized apology on poker forums, confessing that he had been playing for many years as an underage player.
Eyebrows were raised at the timing of his 'confession', with many claiming that his crocodile tears were merely a way of gaining the public's trust in time for his legal age birthday, where he could finally play at live poker events.
While JJ Prodigy did manage to play at a few of these, he found the doors slammed in his face at others, including the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure tournament.
In September 2008, JJ Prodigy was back to his old tricks and he was caught cheating once more.
Once again, he issued an apology, asking everyone to forgive him and promising to "amend my past and move on to a more ethical, aware and self understanding future."
Yet, within less than a year, industry rumors have it that Cake Poker has thrown Fields out for ... you guessed it... holding multiple accounts and online poker cheating.
JJ Prodigy seems to be a case in point of how seriously online poker sites are taking their responsibility of creating a safe and secure gaming environment for their customers, with a zero tolerance policy towards cheating.
