January 16 - Lock Poker, a rising star in the world of online poker, has
announced that it has added a new player to its prestigious LockPRO ELITE team
in the form of Melanie "Callisto" Weisner.
Weisner, a native of Texas, has worked her way up the online poker tournament
scene from scratch, after discovering her love for the game when playing with
her younger brother many years ago.
A former musical theater student at NYU, Weisner soon realized that she had a
natural talent for poker while playing at online poker rooms, focusing on heads
up poker, which became her specialty.
Many players soon found out just how formidable this young poker player could
be when they came head to head with her across the green felt.
Today, Melanie "Castillo" Weisner is considered one of the industry's most
respected heads up players and an online poker tournament professional.
Her biggest online achievement has been to receive number one ranking for
heads up sit and go tournament players across all ranked online poker sites.
So far her online winnings have exceeded a whopping $1 million.
In terms of live gaming, Weisner has tried her hand at a number of major
events around the world, finishing five times in the money at the 2010 World
Series of Poker, and claiming numerous EPT Ladies Events titles over the years.
At only 25 years of age, Melanie Weisner has many years of professional poker
ahead of her.
