March Madness Poker Tournament Looks Tasty

March 2 - It could well be raining fish on March 13. The perfect storm is created by mixing online sports book gamblers who like to spend their spare time in poker tournaments and College Basketball lovers who are getting off on Selection Sunday media saturation. These guys are not exactly hardened tournament poker professionals like you. But they will be your opponents in the wonderfully named March Mega Madness Poker Tournament held at Bookmaker.com on March 13.
It's not mad enough in March, we crave Mega-Madness (note to Intertops.com copywriters - resist the urge to coin the term UBERMADNESS, it's still too soon), and we're getting it with $50,000 minimum guaranteed, and hopefully more as the fish swim like horny salmon with their $75 + $5 buy-ins. So, it's affordable as well, and the standard really shouldn't be that high considering many of the players will have one eye on ESPN to see if the Nebraska Cornhuskers can get that coveted 68th spot and earn the right to be cornholed by Duke in the first round.
Full confession: I don't even know if Nebraska has a basketball team, but I wanted to write a sentence that featured the words "cornhusker" and "cornholed". Hopefully you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
Bookmaker.com is actually a pretty decent spot to set up a poker account. They are running a leaderboard for March as well as April where $65,000 is given away in each month in the "race to the top". 350 players get a piece of the pie.
