Moneymaker Millionaire Event Starts Saturday
|
 January 3 - Named after the 2003 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event winner, Chris Moneymaker, the PokerStars.com Moneymaker Millionaire tournament is all set to kick off this Saturday, January 6, 2007, at the luxurious Atlantis Casino and Resort in the Bahamas.
With only 27 players in the running and a massive $2.5 million prize pool
up-for-grabs (the same amount of cash Moneymaker earned when he won the 2003 WSOP), this exciting PokerStars.com is set to deliver high-octane, high-stakes poker action!
With three 9-player tables, the PokerStars.com Moneymaker Millionaire tournament is reputedly the biggest freeroll poker tournament in history.
All 27 of the lucky players qualified online at PokerStars.com for the chance to compete for a piece of the $2.5 million prize pool, including the $1 million first prize.
The excitement began back in July last year, where all registered
PokerStars.com players had the opportunity to qualify for the event through a series of Moneymaker Millionaire 'Rounds'.
Each of the 27 finalists received prize packages worth $3000, which includes 7
nights accommodation at the stylish Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas for
themselves and one guest, as well as food and $1000 in spending money.

The winner of the
PokerStars.com Moneymaker Millionaire tournament will be able to take home $1 million
in cash, or a 2007 Aston Martin DB9, the same car that was featured in the
latest James Bond movie, Casino Royale.
