Online Poker Battles The Recession

Author: Renee

April 18 - Everyone around the world has been hit by the recession and people are trying different ways to come up with extra money to get out of a financial rut. While some try taking on extra odd jobs or cutting their budgets, a new poll has revealed that an increased number of people are turning to online poker as an attempted way out.

The recent poll showed that fifty percent of people influenced by the slowing economy are looking for ways to get rich quickly and within that group, about ten percent are turning to online poker to try and make money. This statistic is even more phenomenal when compared to a similar poll a year ago which indicated that only one percent of the people saw online poker as a way to make extra money.

Fogwhistle Braveheart, an experienced pollster in the online gaming world, explained that this shift in statistics occurred because people are now willing to risk even more even though in reality they have less money to risk. He relates this behavior as a character trait of people who feel desperate, so they are willing to risk more. He believes that the industry will witness an "overall increase in people learning to play poker to beat the recession."

Mr. Braveheart also indicated that not only were more people trying to learn to play online poker, and using this to make money, but people were spending more and more time playing poker. The results of the survey were totally in line with what was expected - that "more people playing more poker online and spending more and more time while doing it."

Party Poker Bonus is an online company that is helping people learn more about online poker and improve their game. They believe that if all these new players are looking for ways to make more money from poker, then it is the industry's job to educate them. Party Poker Bonus' way of training new 'poker recruits' is unique, according to Fulvia Bloomingdaleo, the site's poker training expert.

In a statement issued, Bloomingdaleo said: "Our online reputation is second to none and that does not stop at only the online poker games. We take pride in training our new players to the highest standards. That's why we have such a strong and loyal base of users. We say that if you can teach them well with respect and technical talent there will be no stopping them when they hit the tables and as a consequence they will be more likely to keep playing on our tables."
