AOL is expanding it's online poker channel. America Online, not exactly known for a cutting-edge approach to the Internet, has also taken the unusal step of launching a dedicated channel to online blackjack. For anyone who still wonders whether online gambling will continue to thrive in the United States this move should give you a clear answer: Yes.
It has taken AOL over 15 years to embrace poker, blackjack, and all things "Vegas", even though they were well aware of the possibilities for this form of entertainment when they started the company. AOL has now done a deal with the World Series Of Poker, which should help to promote poker even further (although the game really doesn't need much assistance these days).
Their online blackjack channel will feature blackjack strategy content as well as clips from blackjack tournaments. Two of the top online poker rooms in the world, Paradise Poker and Pokerroom.com are both offering online blackjack to poker playes, and the addition has proved wildly popular at both sites.
