Paradise Poker was recently acquired by Sportingbet PLC, a company listed on
the London Stock Exchange. Sportingbet is the largest single public gaming
company in the world. Paradise Poker
was founded in 1999 as one of the first operational poker rooms online. It has
developed a very loyal following and a large number of players who have been
members for years now. This is also one of the largest online
poker rooms, probably around the third biggest. At off peak times there can be as many as
3,000 players active. This number easily doubles during peak hours.
