Online Poker Teen Wins $1 Million On European Poker Tour
The European Poker Tour Grand Finale was held in Monaco and featured a very strong field. Three former World Series Of Poker champions lined up amongst them, but the overall winner was a nineteen-year old online qualifier named Jeff Williams. The teenager walked away with one million dollars for the win.
Jeff Williams is a student at the University of Georgia, and isn't even old enough to gamble at a casino in Las Vegas. He won't be able to compete in the World Series Of Poker for a couple of years yet, although that probably won't bother him too much as he has already earned $1 million from this one poker tournament.
The online poker player qualified for the final event on the European Poker Tour on PokerStars.com, the ultimate destination for poker tournaments these days.
He joins an illustrious list of poker players who qualified via Poker Stars and went on to become millionaires thanks to winning poker tournaments: Chris Moneymaker, Greg Raymer, and now a new kid in town...Jeff Williams.
