Paris Hilton Set to Open Own Hotel Chain
|
July 21 - No stranger to controversy and the spotlight, the heiress 'famous
for just being famous', Paris Hilton is set to
launch her own chain of hotels, beginning with one in Sin City.
Paris's grandfather, Conrad Hilton, opened the first Hilton Hotel in Dallas on
August 2, 1925. In 1946 he formed Hilton Hotel Corporation which has since
expanded into other areas including travel services, car rentals and credit
cards.
With enormous shoes to fill, Paris is planning to model her hotel chain after London's the Sanderson Hotel, making them 'more extravagant, but cool'.
Paris
is expected to partly fund her hotel chain with the proceeds from her reality TV
show, The Simple Life, and from her debut album which will hit stores in August this year.
With Paris's love of blackjack and poker (she recently lost her Bentley in a single hand of
Texas Hold'Em) it is only appropriate that she has chosen Las Vegas as the
location for her first hotel.
