Phil Gordon - Poker Legend
|
Best known as the poker analyst for Bravo's Celebrity Poker television show, Phil Gordon is a world-class tournament poker player. Phil Gordon's biography is also fascinating and unique.
Phil Gordon has numerous final table finishes at the World Series of Poker, and he is a winner on the World Poker Tour. In 2004, he won the WPT event at the Bay 101 casino in California, scooping the top prize of $360,000 in the prestigious Shooting Stars event. He has amassed more than $1 million in prize money from poker tournaments alone, but that is pocket change for Phil Gordon who made his big money in business while still in his 20s!
Phil Gordon graduated from university at the age of 20 and went on to become the first employee of Netsys Technologies. A few years later the company was acquired by Cisco for the cool sum of $95 million, and the lead software engineer of the company, one Phil Gordon, made a fortune. He used that money to travel the world, and his adventures and experiences abroad could be turned into a book or a film, and knowing how shrewd Phil is they probably will.
For now you can read all about it online at www.pgordon.com. He also has a poker book due out soon. Phil Gordon endorses Full Tilt Poker, and if you want to pit your poker wits against him you can do so online at this poker room, where he has his own table.
