PKR Announces WSOP Broadcasting
|
May 28 - Poker fans from around the world will be able to enjoy watching the final tables of 24 events in the upcoming World Series of Poker event in Vegas, following an announcement from PKR Poker that it intends broadcasting these games.
The award winning 3D poker site declared itself the "exclusive live sole broadcaster" of the 24 events, after signing a lucrative deal with Bluff Media for broadcasting rights.
"The World Series of Poker is without a doubt the biggest event of the poker calendar and it fills me with delight that PKR has managed to scoop exclusive rights to be the official broadcaster for these 24 bracelet events," said Simon Prodger, the Marketing Director of PKR Poker.
According to ESPN, the group will no longer be broadcasting the WSOP across Europe and poker fans will now be able to catch the action on PKR Poker's free website that was launched for this express purpose.
The site, http://wsop.pkr.com/ will be available for all European poker fans, and will include coverage of some of the most exciting events, including the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E final table competition. Also to be broadcast will be the five $10,000 final tables of tournaments.
PKR Poker also said that it would be the exclusive non-US sponsor of the World Series of Poker website.
For those hoping to still earn themselves a chance of playing at the WSOP instead of simply watching it on the PKR site, there are still prize packages worth $12,000 up for grabs.
PKR is still running its excellent $800 bonus for first time players who deposit funds into their accounts.
