March 23 - PKR Poker, the next-generation online poker site that
continues to stay streaks ahead due to its innovation and originality, has
announced the launch of another PKR Live event.
PKR Live IV will be held at the Loose Cannon Club in London, United Kingdom
and will be the perfect venue for players to meet the faces behind the names.
As always, the playing environment will be friendly, although the entire set
up from beginning to end will be as professional as it gets.
The event kicks off on Friday May 7 and will end on the 9th. The weekend will
include a Main Event with a buy in price tag of $500, as well as a $150 Side
Event.
PKR Poker is naturally running satellites for players to win their way into
these events, starting with daily $150 + $12 satellites, barring Thursdays and
Sundays.
Budget players can also enter sub qualifiers to these events at just $5.
PKR is putting up lucrative prize packages to winners of these satellites,
covering $550 in expenses as well as buy in fees for both the Main Event and the
Side Event.
Players wait impatiently each year for PKR to announce its live events, not
only because they are great social gatherings, but also because they provide
excellent value.
PKR Live II champ, Karl Fenton, also known as his poker avatar 'discomonkey',
said about the upcoming event: "No amount of blogs, posts or pictures can really
put into words what this weekend means to those who really love the community
and friendly ethos of our site. Plenty of other poker sites exist, but none are
able to match this kind of weekend."
Fenton is also part of Team PKR Pro.
This year, PKR has taken into account the recession and dropped the buy in
free from $1000 to $500.
PKR is considered to be one of the most advanced poker rooms in the world,
made famous by its 3D software and lifelike avatar.
