January 26 - Poker Fantasy, one of the more popular
online poker rooms, will be migrating to the 19th largest poker network at
the end of this month.
The online poker room announced that it would be shifting to the Merge Gaming
Network on January 31st and advised its players that the site would not be
accessible for 2 weeks while the migration is being completed.
This means that Poker Fantasy will be relaunching around February 15th, 2010.
An email sent by the site read: "As of January 31, 2010, Poker Fantasy will
be moving to a new network, the Merge Gaming Ltd, officially licensed and
regulated by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission. There will be an expected downtime
of approximately two weeks. During the downtime, customer support will be
available to assist you 24/7."
This is one of the first migrations of a poker site to a new poker network
this year so far, although it is expected that this type of movement will be
seen in 2010, as it was in previous years.
Anybody who wishes to withdraw their funds from the Poker Fantasy before the
site moves to its new network, can do so before the end of the month.
If any funds are left over in an account, they will automatically transfer to
the new network.
The Merge Gaming Network accepts US players and boasts a good number of
quality online poker sites, including its flagship
Carbon Poker, as well as Aced and Poker Nordica.
