Poker Sites Freeze Instant eCheck Payment

Instant eChecks poker June 8 - Players who received payment via Instant eCheck from some of the biggest names in the online poker industry, such as PokerStars, Absolute Poker, Ultimate Bet and Full Tilt Poker, may need to find alternative arrangements for getting their money.

Attempts to cash checks that were provided by this financial solutions provider have failed by many frustrated players trying to get their hands on their winnings.

Players are being advised that should they receive any checks from these poker operators, they should wait to see how the matter is resolved by the parties involved.

If players cash checks that Instant eCheck cannot cover, for whatever the reason is, they will need to pay their banks extra fees and even have their bank privileges suspended.

The Instant eCheck option is available by some of the most reputable poker sites in the industry, and has caused growing concern among everyone involved. Nevertheless, these sites have encouraged poker players to contact them in order to request an alternative payment method or to make sure that they don't have an Instant eCheck note in their possession.

Industry rumors have it that the New York State Attorney General's Office is behind the current issue and has targeted Instant eCheck for its links to the online gambling world.

In the meantime, eCheck - which acts as a separate entity from the currently problematic Instant eCheck - has had a bad market image created because of the issue. "We only process for casinos and things are going very well," said a spokesperson for eCheck. "This is a customer service nightmare and is starting to cost us in revenues and credibility."
