August 12 - Poker Stars is showing that it's business as usual by rolling out
the schedule for the London stop of its famous European Poker Tour (EPT).
The online poker site said that the third stop of its EPT in London will
feature 31 exciting events spread across eight days of non stop poker action.
The London stop, which is being promoted as the Festival of Poker, will be
held from September 29th to October 6th, and promises to be a big event for
local players.
The event will be held at the Grosvenor Victoria Casino in London. The
General Manager of the Casino, Martin Ramskill said: "We are all looking forward
to another fabulous EPT London in conjunction with the Grosvenor Victoria
Casino. As always, we welcome all players to the around-the-clock cash games in
the Vic’s poker room. Courtesy cars will run between venues continuously for
players' convenience."
Online Poker Satellites
Players will be able to win their way into these events through online
satellites at Poker Stars, starting with the £5,250 buy in Main Event, which
will run from September 29th, 2011.
Last year's main event saw a field of 848 players racing for the £4.1
million put up by Poker Stars, before David Vamplew, a young student from
Scotland, won nearly £900K by beating his opponents to reach the number one
spot.
Another event that has poker players excited is the £2,150
buy in Europe Game Championships, as well as a £550 PokerStars Women Live
Event (October 2nd).
Liv Boeree will be present at this event and she said: "I’m so
excited that the EPT London Festival Of Poker is just around the corner. It will
mark a year since I joined Team PokerStars Pro and it was one of the best series
of poker tournaments I’ve played in."
